jon Coulimore

Jon Coulimore has been an electrical professional since 1988 and is a Washington state Master Electrician and an Oregon Supervisor with an Electrical Inspector’s license. He is also an electrical continuing education instructor for the states of Washington and Oregon. Since 1996, Jon has owned and operated JC Electric, Inc. Experienced in all aspects of electrical installation, Jon’s specialty is commercial tenant improvements and industrial facilities.

Jon became an instructor to electrical apprentices at the Area 1 Inside Electrical JATC in Portland, Oregon in 1996 where he still teaches and is the acting Education Coordinator. Jon served as the Area 1 Committee Chairman for two terms. Since becoming certified as an electrical continuing education instructor for Oregon and Washington in 2009, Jon has been administering continuing ed courses to a wide variety of electrical licensees including supervisors, general journeymen, limited maintenance, and limited maintenance specialties. Also a member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors, Jon is the former Education Chair for the Oregon Chapter IAEI.

Jon has recently served on the 2020 Oregon Electrical Specialty Code Board and is a current member of the NFPA 70 2023 Code-Making Panel No. 5, the Electrical Code Board of Appeal for Portland, Oregon, and the 2019 IEC National Codes and Standards Committee.

Jon lives in Washington and – despite the rain – is a year-round barbecue enthusiast. Among his interests are sports photography, boating, and travel.
